My husband has been working for Concentrix (formerly Link2Support) for the past 3 years or so. Currently he’s a senior technical trainer and an instructor in the newly put up Concentrix Institute. Hubby is a Cisco Certified Network Associate so he's more than qualified to teach and review Cisco stuff. My advice to his would-be students is to get ready for his surprise quizzes. Don't say I didn't warn you, hehe! Anyway, the said institute is kinda like a review center for Cisco certifications and IELTS (hello grammar quizzes!). For the not-so internet-savvy: torrents are are specialized files utilized in peer-to-peer (P2P) network environments. P2P is a network of personal computers that communicate with one another by running proprietary P2P software. Unlike usual downloads off the internet, torrents do not point to a single source when requesting files. Instead, torrents contain specific information that multiple computers in the network can read to send various parts of the requested file simultaneously and en masse. Torrents keep active track of which parts of the file are needed to complete the request. By downloading bits of the file from dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of sources, large files can download very quickly. And that's why we love torrents so much!! ^_^

It's my first time to join this meme and the frustration topic is just perfect! =) You see, my brother changed our PC operating system from Windows XP to Vista to Windows 7 in just a span of 2 months! While I was still learning to navigate Vista, he installed Windows 7. Now, I have to relearn things all over again! I'm more than computer / Internet literate but Windows 7 is really frustrating me. The search feature sucks (too complicated and doesn't find things! grr!), Google Chrome crashes every 30 minutes or so, my other programs that require Windows 7 support need reinstalling which is a hassle, and last, bootup is longer than Vista! I tell you, I was not excited with bug-laden Vista but Windows 7 is rapidly eating up my patience.. Argh!! I just wish we're using Windows XP again. Life was much simpler back then! -_- And that ends my rant for today -- come back again next Friday! Hehe!

Says the pink bear! Guess I'd say hi too, been so long since I posted here and in my 3 other blogs. The reason? Our pc and my laptop got infected by a virus. It's the first I've been infected (with my laptop only showing blue screen) and I can't even go in Windows via safe mode! It was really a nightmare searching for a solution. But finally, this afternoon, I stumbled on Avira NTFS4DOS boot disk. It repaired my laptop and now I'm searching for the damned virus. ESET wasn't able to detect one so I'm running Trend Micro's House Call. Wish me luck!Ü
