back to Makati

We're on the 2pm barge back to Mindoro right now (the island behind me is Boracay). We're supposed to take the 9am trip but it was cancelled at the last minute! Gawd! So we were stranded for 4 hours with nothing to do in Caticlan pier, but we survived, lol! The bad part is, instead of arriving by 11pm in Makati, we're gonna be home by 3am. Too bad for Papa and my brother who have to work tomorrow at 8am, tsk!

Adios Bora!

Oct 30, 2007 >> After 3 days and 3 nights, we're (sadly) finally leaving Boracay. This is my last photo of the world-famous powdery white sand beach. Too bad, I left behind the sand I collected for souvenir, lol! Got plenty of pretty shells though :-) I'll be back soon Bora! Au revoire!Ü

PUCA BEACH

Our 2nd to the last stop -- Puca Beach, home of the pretty and round puca shells!Ü The beach is very beautiful here, the waters breathtakingly clear, and the best thing? The sun is shining! Perfect for taking beach photos :-) My mom was out looking for puca shells, my bros were snorkeling and I'm cam whoring. My dad? He's watching all over us, hehe!Ü

3rd stop: lunch!

After the Crystal Cove, we went to Tambisaan Island -- a land full of tambis. Joke! Hehe! This is the view from the 'resto' where we had our buffet lunch. Great huh?Ü For those asking if my blog posts are done in real time, yes they are. I shoot a pic, add some words, publish and voila! A blog post in yes, it's ME! and my Multiply blog. Sweet! :-)

crystal cove!

This is the second destination in our 6hrs island hopping tour here in Boracay. Crystal Cove is a private island with 2 caves or coves where you can swim to your heart's content in private :-) The 'resort' also has a mini-zoo and lots of cabanas where guests can have a panoramic view of the crystal blue sea. Ahh, life..Ü

postcard perfect!

Sand, sea and sky in Boracay. It doesn't get any better than this baby! Umm, maybe a blue and clear sky would be nicer but that would mean a hot sun = sunburn. And I definitely don't want that!Ü This photo was taken just in front our hotel - La Carmela de Boracay in Station 2. Beautiful beachfront place with affordable prices, perfect! :-)

good morning!

Just came back from my morning dip in Bora's crystal clear waters. It's a good thing the sky is overcast, otherwise I'd be surburned beyond recognition. LOL! As it is, I'm just browned perfectly ;-) I'm now waiting for breakfast. I think the waiter has forgotten me coz there's so many guests eating right now. Huhum!

27 October 2007

Boracay, finally!

10.27.2007 >> After nearly 24hrs of travel, we're finally in Bora! Woohoo! Powdery white sand beach, cheap seafood buffet, crystal clear waters, it's all here baby! :-) Gonna keep this post short -- have to rest, dig in the seafood feast and explore, explore, explore! Yeah!

2nd to the last leg

We're finally on the barge headed for Caticlan, Aklan which is the jump off point for Boracay. We were supposed to ride the 10am barge but it left at 930! Imagine that! Lots of customers were irate coz this barge will leave for 2pm pa. And my work sked was again ruined! Told my article employers I'll be able to post by lunch today but bcoz of the sked fiasco, the latest I could post might be before dinner. Wahh! :-( Yeah, that's my parents behind me. SWEET! Hehe!

on our way to bora!

We're a family of tightwads, so instead of traveling by plane to boracay, we're traveling by land and sea. We went to Batangas port and rode a barge to Calapan, Mindoro. And guess what? We're still in the barge, sandwiched among trucks. See the vehicles outside our car? There are more than 20 of them in front of us. Before we can go out (and proceed to Roxas where we'll ride another barge again), they have to go out first. Faster, faster! Lol :-P

trick or treat!

Today, when I got out of the elevator, I was surprised to see cobwebs on the lobby mirror and paintings. Minutes later, I was beseiged with Halloween costumed kids -- apparently it was Trick or Treat time in our condo! Lol!Ü The kids went up and down the 30-odd floors of our building, asking for sweets from the tenants, us NOT included. Hehe! The kids were having a great time and I envy them. I never went trick or treatin' before; have you?

gone swimming!

One of the perks in living in a condominium are its amenities like the swimming pool and gym. The Manhattan Square where we are staying has both, happy! :-) My plan was to swim laps everyday for 30 minutes then hit the treadmills. That way I'd be active and won't gain weight while on vacation. Guess by now you know I'm quite conscious with my figure, hehe!Ü

kada in makati!

I'm so happy right now! After several years of not seeing Pia and Penavi, I finally got to see them! Pia is as cute as ever and Penavi retained her matinee idol looks, hehe! Jinky was also with us, though she got bad news in the middle of our meal. My condolence Jinx *hugzz* All in all, it was still a happy time. As with wine, friends get better with time :-)

my nook!

This is my tiny nook in our condo unit. Cute huh? Ya know, as in small! Lol! At list I have my own space -- unlike my bros who'll sleep in the living room, hehe!Ü My only wish is that my nook could use more pink! I don't see pink anywhere, wahh! :-P

24 October 2007

on my way to manila!

I'm finally seated in Philippines Airlines flight 814 -- Manila here I come! Well, not only me coz my youngest brother is tagging along. We're gonna visit my parents & another bro in Makati. Then we're off to Boracay, whee! :-) Anyway I gotta turn off this phone na. We're taking off in a minute, whee!

21 October 2007

lunch at Tatut's

Looks homey huh? Nope, this is not our kitchen. Though I wish ours is like this, full of cutie country knick-knacks and what-nots :-) Labsie and I are here in Tatut's, a new food place in front of Shakey's Duterte (near JS). We're having lunch and I can't help but admire the place. I actually took lots of photos coz there were no other customers. Yay!Ü Food rating? GOOD! Do try their pancit malabon and spring chicken -- yummy! Damage? Only P150!

P.S. Yup, that's my bf in the photo =)

18 October 2007

my first ripe tomato!

Last month I posted the photo of my first tomato fruit here. It was small and green -- but now its big, red orange and ready for harvest! Can't believe that 1 month of nature's TLC will produce something as exquisite as my first ripe tomato :-) Can't wait to harvest the other tomatoes, and my carrots too! Mmm good!

15 October 2007

going home!

After 24hrs of pure beach bliss, we're (sadly) finally going home. Bye bye to the warm infinity pool, bye bye to the crystal clear sea, bye bye to the yummy Hof Gorei resort food..Ü This photo is the view from our motorized banca as we head back to Davao. Gorgeous blue skies and seas, definitely heaven here on earth.. Damn, our country is really beautiful! I LOVE PHILIPPINES with all my heart! :-)

14 October 2007

Hof Gorei baby!

Guess where I am at right now guys! Give up? I'm relaxing at Samal baby! Sun, sand and sea -- my nirvana! :-) We're staying at Hof Gorei Resort, another new resort here in Kaputian, Samal. Its just right next to the famous Pearl Farm so expect to frolic in the same world-class beautiful beach. Can't wait!Ü Right now I'm enjoying the panoramic view here in Gorei restaurant while sipping ice-cold pineapple juice. Ahhh, this is life! :-)

11 October 2007

Hi!

Says the pink bear! Guess I'd say hi too, been so long since I posted here and in my 3 other blogs. The reason? Our pc and my laptop got infected by a virus. It's the first I've been infected (with my laptop only showing blue screen) and I can't even go in Windows via safe mode! It was really a nightmare searching for a solution. But finally, this afternoon, I stumbled on Avira NTFS4DOS boot disk. It repaired my laptop and now I'm searching for the damned virus. ESET wasn't able to detect one so I'm running Trend Micro's House Call. Wish me luck!Ü

07 October 2007

The People's Champ!

Manny Pacquiao wins over Marco Antonio Barrera again! I'm sure Filipinos all over the world are celebrating right now :-) It was a one-sided fight, with Pacman as the aggresor and Barrera just trying to survive, he was nearly knocked out in round 11 though.Ü Sorry for the low quality of this pic, its just a tv screen capture. Anyway, gonna watch Pacman's funny interviews here so tata for now, and MABUHAY ANG PILIPINAS!Ü

PINK!

No guessing this time, it's clear as daylight that this is a PINK cabinet! Hehe! A mini one perfect for girlie kiddies like me. It's even decorated with cutie butterflies and sparkly, pastel flowers :-) Mama bought this along with smaller (but still pink) cabinets as Christmas gifts for our female relatives. But of course, we're keeping this one. Hehe! Love it!Ü

04 October 2007

guess what is this!

Nope, it's not a crab, which was my first guess too. Hehe! According to the styrofoam label (partly seen on top), its name is Kuratsa. Unfortunately for me, I didn't encounter Kuratsa or Curacha during my BS Biology years. Maybe I'd know what it is if its scientific name is given, lol! ;-) Anyway I saw this in NCCC supermarket today with Mama and Labsie- both also didn't know what it is. Do you know what Kuratsa is? Do help ignorant lil me! Hehe!Ü

the first sunflower!

After 90 days, my first sunflower finally bloomed! If you're wondering why it's small, its coz I planted it in a small pot to restrict its growth so that I can use it in our indoor garden.Ü In other garden news, my other sunflower plants are still budding. My marigolds are still blooming profusely. And my tomatoes all have fruits. Can't wait to harvest them! Yum!Ü
