Privacy Policy

If you are running Google AdSense ads on your sites, be aware that Google has just changed their Terms of Service and are now requiring ad publishers to have a privacy policy. Mine is below. I snagged it from Blogging4Cash.com -- thanks Jason! =)

All emails or feed subscriptions from this site allow you to opt out of further mailings. How we use cookies and web Beacons
A cookie is a small file placed on your computer’s hard drive which helps analyze web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (showing New York real estate ads to someone in New York, for example) or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing cooking ads to someone who frequents cooking sites).

How to disable Cookies
You can chose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs such as Norton Internet Security. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site as well as other websites. we're getting married!

Yup, that's the 'something special' event I've been talking about the past few days :-) You can view our wedding blog for more details at -- www.solito-elbanbuena.INFO ... As expected, my parents were thrilled with the news. Hehe! And their first request to us? To give them a grandchild ASAP, wahh! I really don't see myself getting pregnant and being a mom anytime soon *shakes head* And yes, that's the engagement ring in the picture. I wanted a simpler one (am not really into jewelries) but Labsie wanted lots of bling so.. :-)

Forgive my lack of updates guys! Been sooooo busy! I'm rushing to finish off all my freelance writing jobs coz I'm gonna start immersing myself back to the medical world in preparation for my board exam. No studying yet, just re-acquainting my brain to medicine. Hehe! I have already said goodbye to paid blogging early this month and still I'm busy! Gakk! And then there's that "something special" event.. Almost all plans are already laid out, and before February ends, you'll all hear about it! Stay tuned! =)

choices, so many choices..

Disclaimer: I really don't drink carbonated drinks and/or softdrinks so the classic Coke vs Pepsi question is really moot to me. But dNeero says a choice is required so guess what I chose? Coke or Pepsi?? Scroll down! =)

By the way, sorry for the lack of updates lately. Been busy cleaning up my room for my upcoming medical board review this May (all my medical books and other stuff are in disarray!!), been busy designing a blog about "something special", and been busy canvassing for that "something special" event.. What it is? Stay tuned! =)

fun V-Day factoids!

Blind Date
In the Middle Ages, young people had to draw names from a bowl to see who their valentines would be. These names had to be worn on their sleeves for a week - giving rise to the phrase “wearing your heart on your sleeve”.

Unlock My Heart
In Wales, hearts, keys and keyholes are carved on wooden love spoons and given as gifts on February 14 to indicate “You unlock my heart”.

A Lil Bird Told Me...

According to popular belief, a woman who sees a robin flying on Valentine’s Day will be marrying a sailor. If she sees a sparrow, she will be marrying a poor man but will live happily ever after. And in case she spots a goldfinch, wow! She will tie the knot with a millionaire.

Dream up Your Date
In the 17th century, a marriage hopeful used to eat a hard-boiled egg and pinned five bay leaves to her pillow before going to sleep on the V-Day eve. It was believed that this lucky charm would make her dream of her future husband.

Maiden Card

The first V-Day card was sent in 1415 by Charles, duke of Orleans, to his French wife. He was imprisoned in the Tower of London at the time. Today, about 1 billion cards are exchanged - the largest in number after Christmas cards.

Falls #2

In Lake Sebu, there's this wonder of nature they call the 'Seven Falls'. I thought it was just one big waterfalls with 6 smaller run-offs to make 7 falls in all. I was dead wrong! There were really 7 different waterfalls, all within each other's reach.Ü The one above is Falls#2 :-) We also saw Falls#1 which is wider and a bit shorter than #2. Our photo was taken last December 27 when my parents with my brother + his gf (and us of course) went on a road trip to GenSan :-)

my parents are back!

And we're having dinner right now in Jack's Ridge per Mama's request. As usual the air is refreshingly cold, there are many people, and the food service is slow. LOL!Ü So far, after 30 minutes, the only food that arrived is Chicharon Bulaklak. Hehe! But, as they say, that meant more time to enjoy Jack's Ridge's ambiance :-)
